WHERE CAN I BUY A MINI IN THE US?
There are approximately 75 US MINI Dealers. They are located primarily
in major metros and other selected cities. To find more information about

HOW CAN I IMPORT A MINI TO THE UNITED STATES?
Sorry, at this time you cannot import a new MINI into the US. There are
multiple issues involving specifications for various countries that make
this too difficult.
WILL THERE BE EUROPEAN DELIVERY OF THE MINI COOPER OR MINI COOPER
S?
We're working on it. We know you want European delivery, so we're trying
to make it happen, but can't make any promises as to when the program
will be in place.
WHAT'S THE PRODUCTION MIX OF MINI COOPERS TO MINI COOPER S MODELS?
Currently, MINI are building about 60% MINI Coopers, and 40% MINI Cooper
S'.
WHEN DID THE NEW MINI COOPER MAKE ITS DEBUT?
At the Paris Auto Show in October 2000. It first became available in the
US March 22nd 2002.
WHEN DID THE NEW MINI COOPER S MAKE ITS GLOBAL DEBUT?
At the Tokyo Auto Show in October 2001.
WHERE WERE THE MINI COOPER AND MINI COOPER S DEVELOPED?
They were developed in the UK by the BMW Group's Development Division.
WHERE ARE THE MINI COOPER AND MINI COOPER S BUILT?
MINI is built at the BMW Group Plant near Oxford in the United Kingdom.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MINI COOPER AND MINI COOPER
S?
The MINI Cooper S is a high performance variant of the MINI Cooper. The
MINI Cooper S is supercharged and has 163 Horsepower versus the 115 HP
of the MINI Cooper. The MINI Cooper S also comes with a six-speed manual
transmission, while the Cooper is available with either a five speed manual
or Continuously Variable automatic Transmission (CVT) . The MINI Cooper
S also has different interior trim, an air-intake bonnet scoop, larger
wheels, sportier suspension, and a unique rear spoiler. There are many
technical details which have been upgraded on the MINI Cooper S including
engine internals, cooling system, and chassis upgrades. For full details,

HOW CAN I TRACK A MINI THAT I'VE ORDERED?
If you've received a VIN or Production Number from your MINI Dealer, you
can track the progress of your MINI Cooper or MINI Cooper S in the MINI
Owners' Lounge. When you first visit the Owners' Lounge, you must create
a new account for yourself with your VIN or production number. Once you've
set up your account you will have full access to the MINI Production Tracking
module.
ARE MINIS RACED?
We're extremely excited about bringing MINIs back into racing. We have
already received classification from most of the major amateur and racing
sanctioning bodies in the U.S. and we expect to continue our heritage
of success in competitions. Of course, we also strongly encourage amateur
racers to get out there and have as much fun getting involved with rallies,
races and autocrossing as possible.

CAN I ORDER THE MINI WITH THE CHASSIS NUMBER 001?
Unfortunately, no. Generally the first and last car in each production
series go to a museum.
